Pop-Up Exhibition

The St Andrews Heritage Museum and Garden is displaying a pop-up exhibition at several venues in St Andrews and around Fife, across 2024.

This exhibition explores the history of St Andrews’ fishing community, the architecture of the Ladyhead area where local fisherfolk lived, and the preservation of fisher housing through the museum building. The exhibition includes three roller banners and a handling box containing objects related to fisherfolk. There is also an audio frame loaded with interviews about fisherfolk and the museum building from our oral archives. We also have activity sheets and dressing up costume for our younger audiences.

We hope that this exhibition will allow us to continue delivering the museum’s narratives to the public whilst we are closed for our major redevelopment project.
